Happy Fall!

Well, the first day of fall has come and gone! I went outside to enjoy this lovely weather. It really got me thinking about what I want new things I wanted to try this season.

Here's a sneak peak at my fall wishlist! First of all, I'm extremely excited for all the new seasonal products that Bath and Body Works is featuring. I'm definitely stopping by sometime this week to pick up some Halloween pocket hand sanitizers and seasonal hand soaps! I'm also looking forward to trying out the new body lotions such as honey autumn apple, sweet cinnamon pumpkin (I heard this one was an all time favorite), and dreamy vanilla woods. I also couldn't help but notice the pretty new candles available. I won't be able to resist buying these, especially with the 2 for $20 deal. I have my eyes set on pumpkin cupcake and sweet cinnamon pumpkin.

This season, I also want to try out some new recipes:

Pumpkin pie is a must and I really want to learn how to perfect this delicious recipe.

Apple Crisp! Can't wait to try this as well.
Apple pie, of course.

Last, but not least- I want to get my hands on some Minnetonka boots! Here are some that I found at DSW. Some of my friends actually didn't find these cute at all, but personally- I'm just attracted to the unique style. I haven't seen other boots that compare to these. They're so cute, and I'm looking forward to buying a pair this season.

What's on your fall wishlist?

Time To Relax!

On long school days or work days, I like to come home and just relax. Nights like these are well deserved after working hard all day! Tonight, I had to just curl up beside my window and listen to music while I looked down upon the city. Doing nothing for awhile...it actually feels nice. I think we all need some time to just put everything down and breathe.

The view outside my window looked absolutely lovely today. Bellevue is a beautiful city during the day as well as at night. Apart from enjoying the view, I decided to try on a new face mask. There are two masks that I've tried and cannot live without.

This Mint Julep Masque certainly changed my overall skincare routine. It was one of those products that really left me in awe. It instantly minimizes pores and leaves your skin smooth and simply beautiful. I would probably curl up in a ball and cry if this product was ever taken off the shelves. I truly recommend it to everyone, especially those who have oily skin and large pores. Once applied, it leaves you with a tingly, mint, fresh feeling. I cannot even describe how much I love it. Give it a try!

The second mask I've tried is the Freeman Anti-Stress Mask. This mask basically does what it says. The tingly, fresh feeling it leaves is more powerful than Mint Julep's and it's extremely refreshing. While the results didn't completely amaze me like the Mint Julep mask; I certainly loved the feeling of this one. It's truly relaxing and perfect for those nights were you just want to kick your feet back and feel "stress free". (:
Give yourself a break and try one of these out for yourself!

Fall Nail Polish Collections

Don't Sweater It. This cute polish name, among many others, are hitting the stores this fall. My two favorite brands of nail polishes are O.P.I. and Essie. Although they are more pricey than others, I'm never disappointed. Here are the newest swatches!

First Row: Don't Sweater it, Head Mistress
Second Row: Miss Fancy Pants, Recessionista
Third Row: Skirting the Issue, Stylenomics
While I haven't tried all of these, I'm really eager to try Stylenomics and Head Mistress. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful. Perfect way to style your nails for the fall season.

Here are my favorite O.P.I fall colors. From left to right: Don't Talk Bach To Me, Unfor Greta Bly Blue, Berlin There Done That. O.P.I seriously has the most unique, adorable names. I'm extremely excited to try Don' t Talk Bach To Me. I personally think it's the most interesting color from the collection. I l just love basically any mustard yellow type polishes.

As I mentioned before, Essie and O.P.I are pretty pricey at times. Last weekend, I visited Target and picked up some elf nail polish. Honestly, I wasn't expecting it to be great because of the price. ($1) I picked up the Golden Goddess color. I used a O.P.I black color as a base, and my goodness...the gold looked absolutely stunning. I was very please and satisfied with elf's nail polish. I truly recommend it. For anyone looking to save some money, try the elf!

Hope you're as excited as I am for all these new polishes! :)

End of Summer!

The last day of summer is September 21st. As summer comes to a close, it's time to take advantage of the last few sunny days and show off those lovely summer outfits. I've arranged a couple outfits here to celebrate summer coming to an end.

A Day in the City
This charming look focuses on the top with the peter-pan collar. These shirts have been my favorite this season because they're both comfy and appealing. I paired the top with some black shorts and cute, beige oxfords. For accessories, you can add sunglasses, a bow belt, and some bright, pink lipstick.

Out to the Movies
I just love the way patterns look when paired with bold colors like these. For this look, I focused on pairing teal with yellow. The pattern shorts add to the whole "fun" look and makes you look stylish, but casual. The mustache tote was also an add-on for this funky, sweet look.

Picnic Date
Enjoying the last few days of summer also means enjoying the beautiful weather out. This look has a sort of spring feel to it, but it's comfortable for transitioning into those fall days as well. Cute lace dresses like these could be found at H&M or Forever 21, and could be paired with oxfords like these. I once again chose bright lipstick for the look, and went with the Clinique Chubby Stick. (My personal favorite.)
~Enjoy these last few days and this lovely weather~!

Sincerely Studs

My current obsession: studs. On everything. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love keeping my phone cases all decorated and cute. I had a pink studded case for my HTC EVO 4G, but now that I've switched to the Iphone, I've been looking at new studded cases. Here are a couple that I've found on Etsy!

There are many cute cases on Etsy, I especially love the ones that are mixed with floral fancy patterns and such. I'm also currently obsessed with studded handbags.

I just love how this look gives an edgy look to any outfit. As you can tell, my favorites are the neutral colors such as brown and black. These bags can be found at ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, and H&M.
Last, but not least: I love these studded shoes.

I feel as though these kind of shoes can spice up any outfit. I'm about to go splurge buy a pair of these cute loafers. I have friends who absolutely hate this trend, but I personally can't get enough of it.

Thrift Finds

Settling into a new apartment is always hectic, but the hardest part is making this new place feel like "home". My sister and I set off to goodwill to find some little knick knacks for the apartment, and while I didn't find much for the apartment itself- I ended up getting things to fill my bookshelf. Surprisingly, our local Goodwill  had plenty of good books for about 25 cents each.

Here are just a few of the favorite things I found: Tinkers, The Help, Just Muffins, and Speak. I'm excited to dive into these books and begin reading during my free time.

Just muffins is such a cute cookbook, and I'm so excited to go out and buy baking supplies soon to try out all these new recipes. The simplicity and cute handwriting in the book really appealed to me.

I found these envelopes near the stationary section as well. They're cute for writing notes to my friends back in Arizona whenever I miss home. Overall, while we didn't exactly get apartment decorations- I had a fun time looking through old books and picking up some of my favorites. :)

August Favorites

August is coming to an end real soon, and fall is just right around the corner! I am just ready for pumpkin spice lattes and getting cozy by the fireplace. As I say goodbye to August, I looked through some of the new products that I tried out this month, and I couldn't be happier. This month was filled with good choices. Let's start with my new foundation: Revlon Colorstay.

This foundation is absolutely amazing. The first time I applied it, it went on so smoothly and evenly against my skin. I have fairly dry skin, but sometimes it tends to get a bit oily in the summer. Even a bit of oil on my face annoys the heck out of me. Thankfully, this foundation saved me from the Arizona heat. Now that I live in Bellevue, it works better than ever. With the dry Arizona heat no longer attacking my face, this foundation stays on even longer. I am still amazed by the coverage and matte finish it provides.

This month, my friend also treated me with a Sephora giftcard. Being the impatient person that I am, I went straight to Sephora to splurge on something new. I've been hearing about the Clarisonic Mia for months now, and I couldn't help but try it. Thank goodness I did. This device is truly fascinating. My skin feels so soft after I use it, and I could feel that it truly does it's job of removing all my makeup.

I've been looking for a setting spray for awhile now. I wanted to try Urban Decay's De Slick Spray, but it's about $34.00, and I just didn't want to spend so much on a setting spray. I went to my local Target and purchased E.L.F.'s Makeup Mist and Set Spray. Now, I wasn't expecting too much out of a $3.00 product, but I'm impressed. This keeps my makeup on flawlessly for about eight hours. I truly recommend it! The  only downside was the strange smell it gave off when I first sprayed it. Thankfully the smell quickly goes away, but it's quite strong at first if you're not used to it.

Another product that I purchased while trying to save some money was Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle deep conditioner. Oh my goodness. This was by far my favorite product this month. The deep conditioner truly makes a difference. I recently had my hair dyed ombre, and since I got bored of it quickly; I dyed it over again with my natural color. Unfortunately, this process really damaged my hair. I quickly went and looked for solutions to add moisture and life back to my poor, dead hair. This really did the trick. This stuff works like a dream, and leaves my hair feeling beautiful and soft! Overall, this was my favorite product this month.
